In honor of new bouts of sunshine, putting on a beach themed bridal shower is a perfect way to celebrate upcoming nuptials. A beach theme is happy, warm, inspiring, and all around fun which just about anyone can enjoy.
Beach Themed Bridal Invites
If you can hold your bridal shower outdoors, this is the best place to do it. Drape tables in tablecloths with grass skirt edges and centerpieces of colorful, exotic flowers. Turning your main food and drink table into a tiki bar look is a perfect way to showcase the beach theme, while hanging up beach balls and inflatable palm trees and flamingos with wedding tiaras add a dose of funny. Bright colored streamers, balloons, and paper lanterns are also great for a beach feel. You can even have a ball with guest favors and go for silly items like fluorescent colored sunglasses, grass skirts, miniature hula girl bobble head figurines, flip flops, and Hawaiian leis. You can even put together activities for the guests to win these favors as prizes such as hula hooping contests or the best honeymoon getaway idea for the bride.
For food, think lots of finger foods that are light, such as fruits, veggies, cheese plates, and miniature burger or sandwich sliders. Go for a shower cake that has a sunset ombre icing pattern with a bridal bikini as a topper. Miniature cupcakes, rice crispy treat bites in the shape of surfboards, and doughnuts resembling beach floating tubes are all fun for the sweet tooth. For beverages, serve tropical punch or even frozen drinks in cute cups in the images of coconuts and pineapples that house little umbrellas and garnishes. For the bride herself, make sure she is the most colorful, complete with a bridal tank, tiara, and even a rhinestone grass skirt and flip flops.
